Brochure cover for our neighborhood Catholic school - focusing on the strength of their pre-school programs. The brochure is full of such fun word-play and the St. Louis Diocese adopted the line for all their educational literature for many years. I remember someone said, "Give me a kid til they're seven and I'll give you a fisherman who can feed himself for life." or something like that.
My concept and layout, photographed by Jon Bruton, it was the most published Budweiser image and magazine back cover and the brewery archivist told me it was the single most published image in brewing history with over a million posters sold.
Created this poster program for Budweiser's "Urban Marketing Group."
They asked how I knew so much about African American music. I told them I played sax on the East Side for many years and directed all the urban and soul music for Budweiser. They said they were Ivy League schooled and that I was "blacker" than they were. The artist is my neighbor and friend Cbabi Bayoc. We did these for 5 years.
Just one of many Budweiser "Post Card" series. "The Animal" is me. I did not make the choices, my partner Jeff Vetter art directed this.
This was a fun series that I created with Tom Rogers for The Sporting News. The idea that our consumer of Fantasy Sports games is so consumed by their sport that it shows on them physically.
